![]() Marcus WoodMarcus Wood is a lifelong resident of Meadows of Dan, Virginia, a small rural community nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Woodturning is truly a "Wood" family tradition. Marcus' grandfather built his own woodturning lathe many years ago out of spare parts from a washing machine & pieces of scrap lumber. Marcus' father then used that lathe to turn beautiful pieces of wood to make furniture. Marcus' first lathe was on old Sears Craftmen. Although, he uses a more modern lathe today to turn his wooden pieces, his grandfather's lathe & his first lathe are still in working condition & the family art of woodturning is continued.
