Peggy EnsorPeggy Ensor started on a treadle sewing machine at age 8 making her own doll clothes & by age 11 was making her own clothes. In her teenage years, she was working with interior designers making drapes & pillows for their clients. Peggy then worked for the Singer Company at age 23 where she taught sewing classes & demostrated their machines. Peggy also designed clothing for Marsha Phillips Weaving. In Peggy's work she like to manipulate fabric & combine different textures. She also uses her sewing machine as a tool to "draw pictures with thread." Mediums: |
