ARTS 111-90: Decorative Painting for the Home

Explore the basics of color and simple decorative painting techniques to enhance your home décor. Bring color and fabric samples for one room of your home, develop designs for several accent pieces, and paint one design. Suggested surfaces include a wooden trash can, accent tray, small accent table, paper mache tissue box or accent box, or a wooden bowl. Supplies to bring to class: ruler, pencil with eraser, water spritz bottle, notebook paper, color and fabric samples, surface for design (wood, paper mache), decorative painting brushes you might have. Bring a bag lunch.
